U Don’t Survive (SBTRKT Edit) by Machinedrum
Machinedrum and SBTRKT have both had massive years. The latter, along with James Blake, are probably the two biggest names to emerge from the UK Electronic scene in 2011. Both have experienced crossover success, and whilst we found SBTRKT’s self-titled debut just a little too poppy, his remixes never fail to disappoint. ‘U Don’t Survive’ has a futuristic vibe to it, switching between Garage and Jungle tinged rhythms, with wonderfully worked synths, and soulful vocals. We have a feeling it’ll be getting a few spins in the upcoming months. Get to know.
